Top 10 Trends We are Seeing for Fall 2025

Fall 2025 is serving us the best of both worlds: the comfort of cozy classics we can’t quit, and the thrill of bold new twists that demand a second look. From sueded staples to swishy fringe, this season is all about mixing familiarity with surprise. Here’s a look at the top trends to try this fall.
1. Suede Revival
Few fabrics capture the mood of fall like suede. This season it’s everywhere—jackets, boots, skirts, even bags—soft to the touch but structured enough to hold their shape. A moto jacket with wide-leg denim for daytime ease, or knee-high suede boots that turn even the simplest outfit into something instantly elevated.
2. Red & Purple: Power Colors
Fall’s color story leans rich and bold. Burgundy remains the seasonal classic, grounding wardrobes with elegance, while statement reds add energy and edge. Deep, regal purple enters the mix, symbolizing confidence and luxury. Together, they form a powerful palette for fall.
3. Elevated Denim
This year and even more so this coming season we are stepping away from a form fitting skinny jean and into a wider fit. Jeans are leaning towards the bagger side with levels of ‘baggy’ depending on your personal preference. But we are also seeing jeans with more embellishes to them like detailed side lining, two tones, cut outs etc.
4. Faux Fur Focus
Faux fur has officially moved from novelty to necessity. This season it’s everywhere: oversized coats, mini handbags, even scarfs. Equal parts cozy and dramatic, it’s your best friend for navigating this fall partially Chicago’s infamous wind chill. For longevity a neutral brown and beige faux fur is the way to go!
5. Lace Touches
Romantic details—lace trims, high collars, delicate overlays—are back in focus. This Victorian-inspired trend softens fall’s heavier fabrics and sharp tailoring. Pair a lace-trim blouse under a chunky knit cardigan, or add lace gloves as a subtle yet statement accessory.
6. The Maxi Coat
Floor-length coats command attention this season, offering both warmth and elegance. Skip the matching belt and instead add a statement belt—or wear it loose for dramatic flow.
7. Shades of Brown
This fall, brown is everywhere—and it’s anything but boring. From rich espresso to Pantone’s color of the year Mocha Mousse, designers are leaning into layered tones that feel warm and grounding. Tonal dressing in shades of brown creates an editorial, head-to-toe moment, while mixing mocha with burgundy strikes just the right balance of earthy and bold.
8. Powerful Silhouettes & Tailoring
Channel your inner 80s power businesswoman in sharp blazers, exaggerated shoulders, and clean tailoring. Structured lines bring polish to both workwear and casual outfits. Tailoring makes for a great investment that will serve you in many seasons to come!
9. The Slouchy Bag
Oversized, relaxed bags are the perfect counterpoint to strong tailoring. They’re soft but chic, functional but stylish, big enough for your laptop, your sweater, and your “just in case” extras.
10. Fringe Factor
There’s no denying it: fringe is one of the biggest trends of the season. Designers leaned into it hard, turning simple silhouettes into playful, swishy statements. But before you think it’s too much, remember you can embrace it in small, joyful ways. A tassel bag, a fringe-trimmed scarf, or a skirt with just a hint of motion lets you tap into the trend without overwhelming your look.
