Name: Alexandria (Alex) Ott

Profession: Founder and CEO of Chrome City Creative

Favorite Color: Green. I have a ton of plants in my house, I love the green ivy that grows on brick buildings in Chicago and it is also the color of my eyes!

Least Favorite Color: Every color has a purpose and is beautiful in my eyes.

Style Description: A little vintage, a little punk, a little tomboy, a lot of bizarre. I love pulling pieces from my mom’s closet, finding something at a thrift store and borrowing a sweater from a boy to make an eclectic look.

Style Icon: Nicole Richie (love her ability to rock boho and androgynous) , Rihanna (takes all the risks, isn’t afraid to be bold), Sienna Miller (simple, stunning, vintage).

Favorite Shoe Style: Combat boots, vans and converse high tops.

Least Favorite Shoe Style: Rounded toed heels for women  and men’s slides (ugh)

What You Love to Wear: Black skinny jeans, denim shirts and tons of FUR.  Off the shoulder shirts are so trendy but they highlight all the right features.

What You Hate to Wear: Formal clothes, anything I am hot in, anything corporate or basic.

What You are Afraid to Wear: Nothing

What is Work Appropriate/Your Typical Workplace Attire: We are a funky bunch at Chrome City. You will always find a backwards hat, some leather, funky sunglasses on someone. No day is ever the same so some days I work from home in leggings and a flannel, other days I am doing photoshoots and will throw on jeans and some chunky boots. Every day is different and requires different looks.

Do You Like to Accessorize (Jewelry, Scarves, etc.)? Vintage head scarves, hats and silk scarves around my neck. I keep it simple with accessories.

Favorite Stores/Boutiques: I occasionally shop at Zara but I most of the things I have are found at thrift or vintage stores around the city or when I travel. There is a store in San Diego (where I am from) called Closet that I love finding summer dresses and rompers at. I always seem to find something at Target, TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. I wouldn’t consider myself stylish- more so just someone that finds eclectic pieces and knows how to put them together.

Style/Fashion Tips and/or Advice: Make it funky, make it weird, don’t match. When in doubt, just wear all black.

Stylish Aspirations: I always wanted to be more rockabilly meets Betty Page meets Dita Von Teese. I figured I am too blonde for the latter.

Summer Style Must-Have: One piece bathing suit, head scarf, vintage shades and a damn good book.
