Chicago in White

6th Annual Chicago in White Pop up Dining Experience to Take Over City
Chicago, IL (July 11th, 2016) — Chicago in White returns for its 6th annual celebration on Saturday, August 6th. With a projected 2,000 person guest list, this year is panning out to be the largest gathering since launching in 2011. Chicago in White is inspired by the 1893 “City Beautiful” movement, designed to bring the city together in appreciation of its incredible aesthetic and design.
Every year, Chicago in White finds a location to stage its pop-up picnic style dinner party— providing all tables, chairs and entertainment. This year’s secret location will be announced via email to all ticket holders the morning of the event. Guests then pack their picnic baskets, dawn their all white attire, and head to Chicago in White’s outdoor location to begin an evening of breaking bread with old and new friends. There will also be two types of ticket options this year—$35 for General Admission and $150 for tickets to the VIP Chloe Wine Collection Experience which will include a delicious meal and wine pairing for two! Menu and pairing details, along with ticket info, are available at 2016chicagoinwhite.eventbrite.com
Chloe Wine Collection has signed on as this year’s Presenting Sponsor. Guests will be given
the opportunity to pre-order their wine from the collection, sample/purchase wine on-site,
and compete in the #ChloeInWhite Best Dressed Contest. The Chloe Wine Collection offers
the structure and depth of exceptional fruit—sourced from the world’s preeminent growing
regions to create elegant wines with sophisticated intensity. Made for wine enthusiasts who
appreciate all things extraordinary and timeless, the Chloe Wine Collection is crafted to
inspire.
For the second consecutive year in a row, Eataly returns to Chicago in White as a
participating sponsor. Eataly will host an in-store demonstration on how to perfect the art
of picnic baskets, as well as easy picnic recipes made using their high-quality local and
Italian products. At Chicago in White, Eataly will provide samples of their housemade gelato,
and guests can also enjoy a complimentary demonstration and tasting of their housemade
mozzarella.
This year’s charity partner is the South East Chicago Commission which pursues its mission
through a number of programs and initiatives designed to make its communities more
attractive places to live, learn, work, and play. We are excited to announce that this will be
the first Chicago in White event held in the Greater Hyde Park area. The exact location will
be revealed to attendees the morning of the event via email.
