Sweater Weather Dreams: Fall Shopping Delights Await!

Sitting outside, sun kissed in 6 pm light, sipping Prosecco after a long day, when you look out onto the tress and notice - the leaves sway and fall a bit easier. And the breeze feels a bit cooler. The flow dress you have on is nice yes, but, you can’t help but feel a smile forming as you picture yourself with just one more cozy layer on. In this moment you realize, as quickly as summer came it went, and the glory days of 60-70 degrees are right around the corner. This summer we tuned into our nostalgia and childlike wonder, making our dreams come true, from hot pink Barbie core to mermaid sequence to bow galore. And as much as we love these summer months we can’t help but welcome fall with an open embrace. Get a jump on your sweater weather dreams by taking a look at the shopping delights to come.

Radient Red Red is the new pink, no the Barbieland real world space time continuum isn’t in danger, but some new trends did make there way in. This spring and into this summer we all leaned into the hot pink/magenta shades that dominated the runways and the big screens this year. As we move into fall its almost as if the color of the season just needed a slight hue adjustment, revealing a cherry red in its place. Similar in boldness the shade is a powerful one, sure to be the most sought after hue of the season.

Power Dressing One of my personal favorite moments in fall anticipation is pulling out the blazer in the back of my closet I’ve been eyeing all summer. Though the jovial whimsical colors, cuts, and styles from the summer have been adored transitioning back into adulthood is just as fun.

Business core and power dressing will dominate this fall. Button downs, refined tailoring, and neutral colors galore!

Maxi Madness Maxi cuts - specifically skirts being put on the rack recently have us absoulety mad with desire. They are the perfect transitioning bottom as we pack away our shorts and mini skirts. This season skirts in styles reminiscent of the 50s will be everywhere.

Surely Shearling Our cozy cries have been answered by a core fall material, shearling. Touches of the warm, soft material can be found from shoes, to coats, to bags. Giving us everything we want and more.

Dark Romantic Some of us live in all black all season, so it comes as no surprise to see the spike in seasonal mass appreciation of an all black ensemble. This season all black carries touches of lace details and embellishments, setting a much more romantic aesthetic.

The Coat Coats are, as we all know, one of the best things about the later seasons. With so much variety there is rarely a time where we must single out a coat style in the name of the season, THE coat of the season as some may put it. It dominated the runway for fall and winter 23’ forewarning their street influence. However this year we have one, a tailored black coat, a timeless piece that once invested becomes apart of the classic rotations for years to come.

Back to Basics And finally a fall fashion forecast would not be complete without this crucial reminder - brush up on basics! As you sort through what stays and goes in your closet this season its the perfect time to renew the classic layering items.
